ACP Detail Supplies Launches an eCommerce Site That Handles Complex Shipping and Pricing

ACP Detail Supplies sells professional auto-detailing supplies to small detailing businesses and contractors working for car dealerships. They needed a B2B eCommerce site to help them reach and acquire buyers online. 

Their previous platform was a well-known B2C system they adapted for their  B2B needs. It required the Acumatica Commerce Edition add-on to integrate to Acumatica, adding cost, and still could not support customer-specific pricing tiers or multiple users tied to a single customer account.

Shipping created even bigger issues. Some products required special handling due to hazardous or pressurized materials and, because they had to be shipped as LTL freight, could not qualify for free shipping. Because the previous platform could not trigger free shipping based on item type, subtotal, and customer type, it was not able to apply different shipping rules to mixed items in the same cart. 

Nomad connects directly to Acumatica without requiring Commerce Edition, allowing pricing, inventory, and product data to flow from the ERP. 

Programmable shipping allows ACP to apply mixed-cart logic in a single order. Now free shipping can be applied to eligible items while shipping for restricted items is calculated correctly based on handling requirements. Therefore the customer has accurate, live quotes at the time of order submission. 

The site also supports guest checkout, an account portal for orders and payments, and a Power Reorder feature from order history.

The result is a B2B-focused eCommerce site that supports how ACPD actually sells, while making it easier for small detail shop owners/operators to place orders.
