The Challenge
While nora fleming offers a direct-to-consumer eCommerce site, their primary sales channel remains independent boutique retailers. In fact, their "back to brick" initiative ensures certain products are only available through their high-quality retail partners.
To complement this relationship-driven sales model and take full advantage of their recent migration to Acumatica ERP, nora fleming needed a new B2B eCommerce platform. Their goal? To provide their retailers with full visibility to their financial and accounting data 24/7. “We wanted our customers to have a bird’s-eye view into Acumatica, but only their bird’s-eye view.” explained Kim Dennison, Director of Operations.
Their previous B2B eCommerce site, a basic solution put together by their previous ERP vendor, lacked the Acumatica integration needed to provide the level of visibility necessary along with key self-service features. This led to operational slowdowns and unnecessary friction for both retailers and the nora fleming team.

- Limited Ordering and Payment Flexibility – Retailers often work outside standard business hours and need 24/7 access to place orders and make payments.
- Lack of Sales Rep Visibility – nora fleming relies on rep groups to expand sales reach and strengthen relationships. However, these sales reps had no direct access to order or customer data, limiting their ability to support retail partners.
- No Centralized Customer Portal – Boutique retailers needed a centralized portal to view invoices, make payments, and manage accounts on their own schedule — regardless of how an order was placed.
- No Payment Integration with ERP and eCommerce Site – Without payment integration, only customers on terms or with a credit card on file could use the website, limiting accessibility.
- Unclear Freight Costs – Shipping charges weren’t calculated at checkout, before the order was synced with the ERP. This means that the retailer has to wait for an update or manually estimate shipping fees themselves.
- Lack of Customer-Specific Functionality – nora fleming wanted to be able to display only relevant options to each retailer. For example, prepaid customers shouldn’t see an option for net 30 payment terms at checkout.
The Solution
nora fleming partnered with Nomad eCommerce to build a fully integrated B2B platform that streamlines operations while enhancing the retailers’ relationship-driven buying experience.
With Nomad’s direct integration to Acumatica ERP, they eliminated manual data uploads and multi-step cleanup processes, providing real-time visibility into orders, invoices, and account details.

An Always-Accessible Customer Portal and Payment Integration - Retailers can log in 24/7 to view invoices regardless of how the order was placed—through a phone call, their sales rep, or the website. Monthly statements now contain not only open and paid invoices, past-due notices, but also a payment link (connected to Acumatica Payments) with data being updated immediately on Nomad’s account portal.

- Real-Time Shipping Calculation - Freight is now calculated at the order entry level (i.e. checkout), eliminating delays and improving transparency.
- Personalized Payment Options - Retailers only see payment options relevant to them (e.g., net 30 terms won’t appear for prepaid customers).
- Flexible Ordering Channels - With the integration to Acumatica ERP, boutiques can shop online for immediate shipment or in advance for event or seasonal needs. Once the order is placed, either online, by phone, or through their sales reps, all data is synced in Acumatica and viewable in the customer portal.
- Future-Ready Pricing - Currently, nora fleming’s pricing is streamlined, with only a few retail partners receiving discounts. However, Nomad supports unlimited pricing structures, allowing them to implement customer-specific discounts and other pricing strategies as needed.
Nomad’s platform also made it possible for sellers within the rep groups to access customer accounts through an impersonation feature, allowing them to assist clients in real time—without needing direct access to Acumatica. “Our reps manage 25+ stores each, and now they can easily track orders and support retailers without endless email chains,” Kim explained.
